Optical properties of silver triangular nanoprisms.

Abstract


     The ability to provide large electric eld enhancements make the triangular nanoprisms and branched nanoparticles very attractive for applications in Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS).

Theoretical and experimental studies on the optical properties of triangular prisms in water solution are presented in this paper to determine how structural modi cations and the incident eld polarization affect the extinction spectrum and the enhanced local electric fields (E-field) around particles in wavelength range 300-100 nm.
