Tuning the plasmonic regime in high temperature superconductor metamaterials

Abstract
High temperature superconductors (HCTS) are one of the most promising candidatesfor active and tunable metamaterials in the terahertz range. In this work we demonstratethe restoring of the plasmonic regime and a good tunability of plasmonic resonances up to 3 THzacross the superconducting transition of YBa2Cu3O7 lms. A similar behavior can be obtainedin other HCTS systems, showing an universal plasmonic response for superconducting materials.
