About
Since its first edition in Marrakesh in 2008, META has grown into a major international meeting point for researchers working across metamaterials, photonic crystals, plasmonics, nanophotonics and the broader physics of structured light and matter.
What is META?
META brings together researchers from universities, national laboratories and industry to present new results, exchange ideas and initiate collaborations across disciplinary boundaries.
Its scientific programme combines plenary and keynote lectures, contributed oral and poster presentations, special sessions and thematic symposia covering both established and rapidly emerging areas of the field.
Our history
Across seventeen editions, META has welcomed thousands of researchers and established a global community spanning Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.
Proceedings
Accepted contributions are published in the META conference proceedings, indexed in Scopus under ISSN 2429-1390.
The proceedings provide a permanent record of the scientific programme and make contributions from each edition accessible to the wider community.
