APL Quantum is proud to highlight scientists advancing knowledge and applications of quantum physics. To this end, in partnership with META, the international conference series on Metamaterials, Photonic Crystals and Plasmonics, we have established the first annual APL Quantum - META Best Paper Award to honor and bring visibility to groundbreaking research in metamaterials and nanophotonics.

Eligibility Requirements

Abstracts submitted to the conference will be considered for the award. The award will be delivered to the first author listed on the selected paper.

Selection Process

The award is given to the first author of the winning paper. The winning paper will be selected by a committee comprised of journal editors and conference chairs, and reviewed based on scientific content.

Award Prize

The winner of the APL Quantum Best Paper Award will be announced in a press release, receive a waived APC for publication of the full-length version of their META abstract in APL Quantum, be invited to write an APL Quantum Perspective, and receive an engraved prize presented at the 2025 META Conference.
