Sponsored / Reduced Registration (−€200)

To support participation in META 2026, the conference has set aside limited funds for a small number of sponsored (reduced) registrations. The support is provided as a €200 discount applied to the Early Bird registration fee (available for both Regular and Student categories). Priority is given to students, early-career researchers, and researchers working in low- and lower-middle-income countries and/or institutions with limited funding.

Important: The sponsored/reduced fee is based on the Early Bird rate. Approved applicants may still use this reduced fee until 6 June 2026 (end of the Advanced-rate period), provided payment is completed by that date.

Deadlines

  • Application Opens on 3 March 2026
  • Application Closes on 31 March 2026
  • Result Notification by 7 April 2026
  • Reduced-fee payment deadline: 6 June 2026

Conditions

  1. Applicants must submit all required information (see below).
  2. Applications must be submitted by 31 March 2026. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
  3. Applications will be reviewed and successful applicants will be notified by email by 7 April 2026.
  4. How the discount is applied: The sponsored/reduced fee equals (Early Bird fee − €200) for the relevant category (Regular or Student).
  5. Validity window: Although the discount is based on the Early Bird fee, approved applicants may use it up to 6 June 2026 (end of the Advanced-rate period), as long as payment is completed by that date. The sponsored/reduced fee is not available after 6 June 2026 (Late / On-site).
  6. Successful applicants will receive a personal coupon code (one-time use) that applies the €200 discount to the Early Bird fee. The coupon can be used until 6 June 2026 (payment deadline); it expires automatically after that date.
  7. Note: Submitting an application does NOT imply that support will be granted.

Selection Criteria

A shortlist will be determined based on the following criteria:

  • Novelty, significance, and quality of the research summarized in the submitted abstract/paper.
  • Special consideration will be given to doctoral students who are first authors of accepted papers.
  • Demonstrated need and limited access to alternative funding sources.
  • Geographic and institutional diversity (including low- and lower-middle-income countries).
