Metamaterials & Metasurfaces

Engineered electromagnetic media, flat optics, tunable and reconfigurable metasurfaces, nonreciprocal and spatiotemporal systems.

Photonic Crystals

Periodic and quasi-periodic photonic structures, high-Q cavities, slow light, topological photonics and integrated platforms.

Plasmonics & Nanophotonics

Nanoantennas, field enhancement, nanoscale spectroscopy, hot-carrier physics, photocatalysis and near-field imaging.

Quantum Photonics

Quantum states of light, single-photon sources and detectors, quantum interfaces, integrated quantum circuits and quantum sensing.

Light–Matter Interactions

Strong and ultrastrong coupling, nonlinear and ultrafast phenomena, optomechanics and structured photonic environments.

Emerging & Multiphysics Metamaterials

Acoustic, mechanical and thermal metamaterials, inverse design, AI-driven photonics and emerging interdisciplinary concepts.

Program Formats

How the science is presented

Plenary Lectures

Flagship 35-minute lectures addressing major advances and new directions.

Keynote Lectures

30-minute invited lectures by internationally recognized researchers.

Invited Presentations

20-minute presentations within special sessions, symposia or the META Quantum Workshop.

Contributed Oral Presentations

15-minute presentations within the technical program.

Poster Presentations

A poster is an excellent way to present your results, with 40 minutes of direct discussion with interested researchers and eligibility for a Best Poster Award.

Oral presentation requests

If you request an oral presentation, decisions are communicated in two stages. The first email confirms whether your paper has been accepted. After the program is drafted, a second email announces whether it has been assigned to an oral or poster session. Assignments reflect scientific content, thematic fit, program balance, diversity and available time—not quality alone.
