Registration opens in December 2026. The Call for Papers is already open: you can submit before registering. Early registration runs until April 23, 2027.

Included: admission to all technical sessions and tutorials, lunches on the first three conference days, coffee breaks, the exhibition, and electronic access to the program and proceedings.
Late / on-site registration is intended for non-presenting participants unless prior arrangements have been made. Presenting authors must complete payment by June 5, 2027 for their papers to be scheduled.
The conference dinner is not included in these fees. Its format, availability and price will be announced separately once confirmed.
Registration Categories
Researchers and professionals from academia, laboratories and industry. All participants: including invited speakers, session organizers and session chairs: must register and pay the applicable registration fee.
A reduced rate for students, with proof of status.
For persons accompanying a registered participant.
An accompanying person registration must be purchased together with a full registration, and is limited to a family member of the registered participant who is not a co-author of any contribution. It includes access to the exhibition, coffee breaks and lunches.
Author registration policy. Each presenting author must complete a paid registration. One registration covers a maximum of two papers for which the registrant is a co-author, whether presented orally or as posters. At least one author or qualified substitute must present each paper. Only papers covered by a completed, paid registration will be scheduled in the conference program and included in the proceedings.
META is a community conference and does not provide financial support to session organizers, session chairs or invited speakers. Payment methods, invoice procedure and applicable taxes will be published before registration opens.
Invitation letters. Invited or registered participants who require immigration documentation will be able to request a signed invitation letter after their registration and applicable payment have been confirmed. The letter will provide the IRCC Special Event Code privately. It will not be displayed on the website.
Information shared with IRCC. Visa-required participants may be asked for their name as shown in their passport, passport country of issuance and visa application number. This limited information may be shared with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to identify and coordinate applications associated with META 2027. The request form will include the corresponding disclosure.
Participation support
A limited number of supported registrations will be available for regular and student participants. Priority will be given to students, early-career researchers, and participants from countries or institutions with limited access to funding.
The programme reduces the applicable early registration fee by €200. It does not cover travel, accommodation or local expenses. Applications open on March 1 and close on March 31, 2027. The number of supported registrations is limited.
Cancellation & substitution
Registration cancellations must be submitted in writing to contact@metaconferences.org. For requests received by May 5, 2027, the registration fee will be refunded less a €65 administrative charge.
After May 5, 2027, registration fees are non-refundable. A registered participant who can no longer attend may nominate a substitute to attend in their place at no additional charge by contacting the organizers.
